The School of Education offers postgraduate programs designed for teachers, trainers, educational consultants or anyone wishing to study Education at a postgraduate level in a supportive environment.

Do you want to become a teacher and already have a Bachelor Degree?

Master of Teaching

A two year program for students who have completed an undergraduate degree who wish to become secondary school teachers.

Successful completion of this degree satisfies the requirements to apply for registration with the Board of South Australia. This degree also caters for those seeking to teach in post-secondary educational institutions. In most cases the qualification is portable to other states and overseas countries.

The Master of Teaching is equivalent to a standard two years of full-time study. The accelerated program is able to be completed by students in a full-time duration of 1.5 years.

The Master of Teaching is taught in quadmesters/terms and the 2017 commencement date is Monday 23 January.

Master of Education

A Master of Education is a two year  full time degree (or part-time equivalent) for those who have completed a Bachelors degree. Students who have an undergraduate degree in education with teaching experience may apply for and be granted up to one year of advance standing.

Courses in the program cover issues relevant to today's education environment. the research component of the program requires the skills acquired in the course courses to be applied to a classroom or school problem. Students further extend their knowledge in their chosen field by choosing the topics with suit them from the list of electives.
